Highland Cup Euchre

On Sunday April 19th the SSO held our 3 annual Highland Cup Euchre tournament. We had a great turnout with 46 players. Thanks to organizer, and SSO member, John Stewart McFarlane for running the tournament. 

During the fall and winter John runs a monthly Euchre tournament as part of his non-profit ‘LoveGives’, the proceeds of which go to support breast cancer research. In addition to nearly a full house of players, we also had lots of great raffle prizes and Scottish-themed cupcakes, thanks to SSO members Kelly MacLaren.

Thanks also go out to Donald Macdonald for piping, and finally thanks to all those who participated in helping to raise money for the SSO. The event raised $900 which helps us in our mission to connect, preserve, and promote Scottish culture and heritage regionally, nationally, and internationally through events, communication and education.
