October 10th, 8 p.m. Album Launch concert with Sheila & Lucile. The duo of Sheila & Lucile celebrate the release their new album Wavelength: original arrangements of traditional and contemporary music from Canada, Ireland and Scotland, played on a variety of wooden flutes and celtic harp. Where: Red Bird, 1165 Bank St (Old Ottawa South). The flute and harp duo of Sheila & Lucile perform on a variety of wooden flutes and celtic harp, creating a unique sound inspired by the range of colours and textures heard in and between their instruments.

October 17th & 18th: British Isles Family History of Greater Ottawa Virtual Conference, ‘Flitten’ Day, Forces that moved our Scottish Ancestors. Moved by economic hardship, social clearance, or the promise of new horizons, our ancestors' decisions to relocate shaped history and families across generations. This year’s conference dives deep into the forces behind Scottish migration and emigration, offering expert speakers with invaluable insights and practical strategies to help you trace your family line back to their homelands in Scotland.
October 20th, Loreena McKennitt, The Mask and Mirror: 30th Anniversary Tour, NAC. Award-winning Canadian singer/songwriter, Loreena McKennitt, will be commemorating the 30th anniversary of her album, The Mask and Mirror, with an extensive tour of Eastern Canada. Widely acclaimed for its ‘cross-cultural fertilization’, the album weaves together Celtic, Spanish and Moroccan influences.
Loreena will be accompanied by musical companions Caroline Lavelle on cello, Brian Hughes on guitar, Hugh Marsh on violin, Dudley Phillips on bass and Robert Brian on drums. The first set each evening will feature fan favourites, while the second set will include every song on the album.

November 22nd, 2-4 p.m. The Glengarry Celtic Music Hall of Fame hosts their annual Festive Ceilidh and St. Andrew's Day Celebration at the Hall located at, 19687 William St, Williamstown. An afternoon of live Celtic music, dancing, socializing, and festive treats like apple cider and Christmas goodies. All instruments, voices, and dancers are welcome to join in or just listen. Admission: Free, though a goodwill offering or donation is typically collected to support local causes, such as Carefor Hospice Cornwall.
