Hogman-eh! is happening!

Traditions, family and friend celebrations like Hogmanay, no matter how you choose to partake in the festivities, are important. They bring us together and reconnect us. Your Scottish Society of Ottawa believes it is important to find a way to move forward with our celebrations in a safe manner while bringing the Scottish-Canadian community together.

This year, the volunteers that bring you Hogman-eh! have gotten extra creative so we can celebrate and connect in a manner that is safe and comfortable. Over the coming weeks, be ready to hear the details on the many ways you can celebrate with us via our newsletter and our social media accounts.

In the meantime, here’s the scoop on what we can share with you now! We’re introducing a theme this year. The theme is directly inspired by you – Scots and proud descendants of Scots – Fiery and Bold. Be ready for this theme to burn bright in all our offerings. Other big news is that we’ll be offering options where you can celebrate:

• from home – enjoying drink, food, fun and entertainment

• online for many days leading up to Hogman-eh!

• outdoors with the entire family, while keeping safe

We promise you will something exciting for everyone – for Nan, you and the wee bairn.  We hope you’ll join us, in person, online or at home. We look forward to connecting with you, our members, our friends and our family.
