  • Award-winning Scottish folk singer Iona Fyfe welcomes all to join in her online Robert Burns Song workshop. She will teach 2-3 Burns songs in the Scots language and have us listen to original, revivalist and contemporary interpretations of the songs.. Lyrics, language guides, and accompanying recording links will be provided in PDF format. Workshop is on Wednesday at 4:00 PM (16:00) Eastern Daylight Time), April 8 2026 by Zoom. Cost is £10.   • In their 60th Anniversary year, Cape Breton’s own coal miners' chorus Men of the Deep remembers those men whose lamps have all gone down and honours those who still carry the light forward. Sharing the stories they’ve lived and singing about life underground. We invite you to share in a sixty-year legacy that continues to shine on, not in coal, but in memory, community, story, and song.   • Tartan & Red Serge - A Canadian Celtic Showcase. The RCMP Pipes & Drums are excited to announce our upcoming concerts at Shenkman Arts Centre, Saturday May 16th at 3:00 and 7:00. Join us for an exciting performance of music and dance. Tickets are on sale now

  • Registration is open for Leahy Music Camp happening this summer. Visiting music teachers from Scotland this year include; Ryan Young (fiddle) and Michael Biggins (piano & accordion). Leahy has recently announced that fiddler Maura Shawn Scanlin will also be teaching. Maura is a Glenfiddich Fiddle Award winner and 2 x winner of the US National Scottish Fiddle Championships.

  • Some great folk musicians are on the calendar at Little Red Wagon Winery this year. Events Tickets — Little Red Wagon Winery. Owners, Scott and Jennifer Judd are the perfect hosts, offering dinner & show options as well as dinner or show alone. More events will be added throughout the year. Keep checking. Terra Spencer, Dave Gunning and Ryan Young are currently scheduled.
