National Volunteer Week in Canada is celebrated every April. This year Volunteer Week is 14-20 April and the theme is Every Moment Matters which highlights the importance of every volunteer and each contribution they make at a moment when we need support more than ever. The sharing of time, skills, empathy, and creativity is vital to the inclusivity, strength, and well-being of our communities. The SSO celebrated by holding our annual Volunteer Appreciation Event at the Royal Oak in New Edinburgh Sunday 14 April. There was food music, Door prizes and fun as we celebrated our wonderful volunteers.
