The party of the year is going ahead! And we are pleased to announce our new location. Along with the vice-chair of the SSO, we looked at a number of rooms, and finally decided to rent out the Infinity Centre, on Gibford Dr., to host this year’s event. While it is not downtown, it is served by four major bus routes (which all connect to LRT stations). And it does offer something Lansdowne Park did not: lots of free parking in the area.

This move was necessary, as some of you may know already, because the World Junior Hockey Tournament is being held in Ottawa this year. The organizers have all of TD Place booked, and the Aberdeen pavilion (our home for the past few years) was not available.

I’m happy to report the lineup is also close to being finalized. Once contracts are all signed, we’ll be pleased to make further announcements. We’ll be featuring some great local talent, plus the Devil’s Brigade will be playing two 90-minute sets for your enjoyment.
