Hogman-eh! Volunteer Tasks

All volunteers will have free access to the event and most shifts will be 2-3 hours in duration. Some tasks will require standing for the entire shift.


Setup Crew

Assist in setting up tables, chairs, etc. both the day before and the afternoon of the event. Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs on the 30th or 31st of December.

Gate Sales

Man entrance Gate to verify pre-paid tickets, and sell tickets. This will involve sitting for several hours, handling cash, and making change, and using a mobile tap pay system.

VIP Experience/Accessibility section

Assist the VIP Experience & Accessibility Clients, directing them to the VIP Experience & Accessibility area, clearing tables and providing any other assistance as required.

hospitality

Stock the Green Room and volunteer rest areas with snacks and drinks, and maintain cleanliness in these areas during the evening.

Kid's Zone

Supervise small children doing crafts, playing games etc. Volunteers will need a Police Background check.

Safety Team

Monitor client activities at the event, and report to security and emergency medical staff any issues regarding client safety. Monitor ingress and egress of clients to maintain safe capacity in accordance with the fire-code. Provide crowd control during the fireworks. Required to stand for the entire 2 hour shift.

Scottish Society Booth

Assist SSO Directors by staffing the Scottish Booth answering questions about the event and the society, and signing up new members.

Tear down Crew

Assist in removing and packing up banners, tables, chairs etc, on January 2nd; should be able to lift 25-50 pounds.
