Celebrating Scotland’s Bard – join us at The Highlander Pub

Join us after 7 PM for an evening filled with fun, laughter  in celebration of Robert Burns at The Highlander Pub, 115 Rideau Street on Thursday, January 25th.  Come and raise a glass to the Bard!

#CheerstoRabbie – a toast to Burns

There is no better opportunity than January 25th to come together with like-minded people from all over the world to celebrate our shared love of Scotland’s national bard, Robert Burns – or Rabbie to his friends. On behalf of The Scottish Government, we’re asking all members to help us make that celebration bigger than ever before. We want to raise a glass to Burns from every corner of the world. As part of its work to promote Scotland’s Winter Festivals, The Scottish Government is creating a global virtual toast to the great man and, as a group dedicated to commemorating his work, we would love you to participate.

Doing your bit is simple. All you need to do is post a picture of your toast on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram from January 18th using #cheerstoRabbie so The Scottish Government can capture and collate it with fellow posts from around the world. You may want to create a group toast, or do so individually – the more the merrier! You can toast him at your Burns Supper with a classic Scotch, a wee skirl of the pipes or a twirl on the dance floor. Or you can do your #cheerstoRabbie from anywhere that takes your fancy. So join us in raising a glass to the lassies, your family, your friends, and, of course, the big man himself because wha’s like him! For more information on Robert Burns click here.
