Brenda (Kippen) grew up in the farming community of Maxville, Ontario, home of the Glengarry Highland Games. Her Scottish heritage has always been important to her. As a highland dancer with the MacCulloch Dancers, she performed at many local, national and international events. During her years at Queen’s University, she was co-head highland dancer with Queen’s University Bands. After obtaining her Chartered Professional Accountant’s designation, Brenda settled in Ottawa and pursued a career in public accounting. She is currently a partner with Lekadir LLP, Chartered Professional Accountants. During her time in Ottawa, Brenda has taught highland dancing with the MacCulloch School of Dancing and now attends performances of her daughter, who is a highland dancer member of the RCMP Regimental Pipes and Drums of Alberta.
